Easter Sunday

 Our Easter weekend was so fun!  We started off Saturday with coloring Easter eggs.  This year the girls were really into it.  Bianca doesn't remember doing it before, so Bella enjoyed showing her how to do it!

After coloring eggs, we attended our church's Easter egg hunt.  It was great!  The kids had so much fun. They got to play a few games, eat some cookies, see their friends, get a tattoo on their hand, and search for an egg or two. 

Bella received a note and $5 towards her savings for a ToyStory Bullseye.

We planned on going to the Easter breakfast at our church on Sunday morning because Scott was singing in the Easter choir and had to be there early, but Bianca would not go to bed on Saturday night.  It was pretty dramatic, but she eventually fell asleep around 12:30, so I wasn't going to get them (or myself!) up any earlier than was necessary.  We got the girls up just before Scott had to go to choir rehearsal so he could see them with their basket.   They each got a Beatrix Potter book, and a disk swing to share, along with a bit of candy. 

Our church service was so refreshing, and a good reminder of the meaning of Easter.  Jesus Christ came to be our Savior, and to die for us on the cross so that we can have a relationship with Him.  We celebrate his resurrection on Easter Sunday, and also every day.  Without His Resurrection, our faith would be pointless.  He did not come to be a political leader or even a 'good' man.  Jesus Christ rose from the dead, conquering death itself.  

After church on Sunday morning, we did family pictures.  I have one little girl who LOVES to pose for pictures, and one whom I can barely get to make a smile for the pictures.  She has a good pirate face down, along with a few others, but we're still working on the smile.  And we had a pretend pet doggie for the day as well, who, of course, had to be in the pictures!
